Chega criticizes degradation and lack of cleaning in Santa Cruz public spaces

Chega councilwoman Manuela Gonçalves has denounced the state of neglect of several public spaces in the parish of Santa Cruz, with particular emphasis on the degradation and abandonment of the Lombinho Viewpoint.

Gonçalves pointed to the lack of cleaning, maintenance, and vegetation control on paths and trails outside the urban center, also warning about public health risks arising from an increase in rat colonies in some areas. She criticized the JPP's 13 years of governance in the municipality, accusing the council of failing to fulfill electoral commitments.

The party demands that the Municipal Council implement preventive sanitation planning and provide equitable attention to all areas of the parish, not just the town center.
