The Chega Madeira party has requested, via a sent note, a profound and immediate restructuring of the Regional Government. According to the party, the current executive "has exhausted its response capacity and ceased to act as a guarantor of stability for families, fostering a model based on welfare, subsidy dependency, and political inertia."
Chega Madeira president Hugo Nunes stated that the Regional Government has lost the ability to solve real problems, citing the unsustainable housing situation and chaotic management in the primary sector, including labor shortages, delayed support, and water supply failures. Nunes also mentioned neglect in the fishing sector, with delayed compensation and a lack of incentives.
Hugo Nunes warned President Miguel Albuquerque that "failures in the chaotic management across different secretariats reflect a government exhausted as a whole." Chega Madeira demands a fundamental restructuring and warns that "tactical patches" to postpone a reshuffling will result in full responsibility for the "collapse of public services and the impoverishment of the regional population."
