Nova Direita Criticizes CDS Youth for Praising Unemployment Figures

Nova Direita deems it unacceptable that the CDS Youth celebrate falling unemployment as a political achievement, highlighting the precarious nature of jobs created.

Nova Direita (ND) has vehemently criticized the CDS Youth for presenting the recent decrease in unemployment in Madeira as a significant political accomplishment. Paulo Azevedo of ND stated, "It is not enough to announce numbers; we must tell Madeirans how these numbers are achieved."

The organization claims that successive governments have used temporary programs to remove people from unemployment lists without guaranteeing them stability, career prospects, or a future, which they consider "labor exploitation" that merely "hides the reality." ND advocates for the creation of dignified and permanent jobs, warning that Madeira needs sustainable solutions, not "precarious solutions created to improve indicators."

Nova Direita pledges that upon assuming governmental responsibilities, they will end these programs and implement employment policies that value work and wealth creation, attracting investment and supporting businesses to generate sustainable employment. The organization concludes that Madeirans "live on salaries, stability, and opportunities," not "statistical tricks."
