Clube Naval do Funchal (CNF) was present at the second part of the National Linear Racing Championship, a competition for younger age groups: Infants, Juniors, and Cadets. The event took place at the High-Performance Center (CAR) in Montemor-o-Velho.
CNF participated with 8 athletes who competed in various distances and boats. The main objective was to provide young canoeists with experience in a demanding sport, featuring an extensive program of races and competition, on waters different from their usual training grounds. Athletes competed in elimination races over distances of 200m, 500m, and 1000m.
Two A Finals stood out: Beatriz Chaves and Ana Matias secured 5th place in the K2 Cadet Female 500m, and Juan Freitas achieved 8th place in the K1 Infant B Male 500m. There were also two B Finals, where Hamilton Santos and Leonardo Catarata Freitas finished 5th in the K2 Cadet Male 500m, and Juan Freitas took 3rd in the K1 Infant B Male 1000m.
Collectively, CNF ranked 29th in this event and 27th overall across both national competitions, among 51 clubs.
