A delegation from the National Confederation of Solidarity Institutions (CNIS), headed by its president, Father Lino Maia, is in Madeira this Monday and Tuesday.
The visit aims to participate in the inauguration of the new social bodies of the Union of Private Solidarity Institutions (UIPSS) of Madeira. The delegation will also meet with various regional institutions and entities.
On Monday, the delegation met with the deputy of the cabinet of the Regional Secretary of Health and Civil Protection. In the afternoon, a meeting was held with associated private solidarity institutions to discuss the social sector in the Region, followed by a conference by the CNIS president and the inauguration of the new UIPSS Madeira social bodies.
On Tuesday, the agenda includes a visit to the Atalaia Living Care Association in Caniço, and meetings with the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, and the president of the Madeira Social Security Institute.
