Businessman Felisberto Camacho, based in Venezuela, will be among those honored with the new Madeira Global Decoration. This award was created by the Regional Government to recognize prominent figures within the Madeiran diaspora.
The award ceremony will take place next Thursday, July 23rd, at the Madeira Congress Centre during the Madeira Global 2026 Forum. The decoration will also be awarded posthumously to José Luís Silva, a key figure in the Portuguese community in South Africa, and to businessman João de Jesus Marques Luís, based in the United Kingdom.
