The Centre for Support of Child Development (CRESCER) is holding an Open Day dedicated to Aquatic Therapy on October 2nd, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Salesianos Swimming Complex in Funchal.
The initiative is aimed at children aged 3 to 10 and their families, offering an opportunity to learn about this therapeutic intervention, the responsible team, and the work developed over the past three years. According to the organization, the aquatic environment provides a distinct therapeutic context, with effects stemming from the interaction between the water's physical properties and the child's individual characteristics.
During the event, children can participate in an aquatic experience, accompanied by qualified therapists, allowing families to observe how water's properties can promote motor, sensory, emotional, communicative, and relational skills. Participation is free but requires mandatory registration via email at [email protected]
