A cyber attack is affecting seven Intermarché supermarkets in Portugal, altering the temperature of refrigerators and freezers. Three of the stores have recorded losses of spoiled products, which will be destroyed.
According to the Mosqueteiros Group, the attack targeted an external service provider that manages the refrigeration systems. The group says it has activated the necessary procedures to minimise the impact and restore normal operation.
The group stressed that the supply chain was not affected and that food hygiene and safety conditions are ensured. The stores remain open. The stores affected have not been identified.
