Diogo Duarte was re-elected this Thursday as president of JSD Ribeira Brava, during the inauguration of the new municipal structure team. The new term's main objective is the "deepening of roots" of the organization in the municipality, following a period of "reactivation", aiming to place JSD at the forefront of local elections with proposals on housing, mobility, youth employment, and education.

The growth of approximately 23% in membership was highlighted, as well as Ribeira Brava being the second JSD Madeira municipal chapter with the highest vote count. For the new term, Diogo Duarte committed to "permanent proximity, membership with training, and knowing before proposing", promising more initiatives and advocating for greater investment in affordable housing, skilled employment, mobility, and health.

At the ceremony, Bruno Melim, president of JSD Madeira, praised the local structure's ability to "renew, innovate, and train new cadres", expressing confidence in Diogo Duarte. Jorge Santos, Mayor of Ribeira Brava and local PSD leader, congratulated the inaugurated team, highlighted their work, and reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to education, housing, and employment, guaranteeing the support of local PSD bodies.
