Miguel Correia, a member of the Regional Political Commission of CDS-PP Madeira, highlighted the premise that "working must pay off." Following the government program's inclusion of a regional minimum wage increase to 980 euros in 2026, the party advocates for "raising the salary scale," benefiting experienced and qualified workers.
CDS-PP Madeira emphasizes the importance of defending the middle class and ensuring that salaries grow above inflation to increase families' purchasing power. Improving salary conditions is seen as inseparable from business competitiveness and growth, aiming for "strong, competitive companies capable of paying better wages." The party also supports the professional development of public administration staff.
