European Project 'HydroPulse' Discusses Climate-Resilient Hydropower in Madeira

Representatives from sectors related to water management, energy, environment, and territory are meeting this Wednesday, September 16th, in Madeira to discuss solutions that make hydropower systems more resilient to climate change.

The meeting, part of the European project 'HydroPulse – Hydropower for Participatory Local Solutions and Ecosystem-Based Strategies', aims to develop strategies that reconcile energy production with biodiversity conservation and the restoration of river ecosystems.

Madeira is among the territories involved in the project, funded by the Horizon Europe program. The session will serve to present the objectives of 'HydroPulse' and gather input for its implementation in the region, identifying specific needs and opportunities for the Madeiran territory.
