The national spokesperson for PAN and Member of Parliament, Inês Sousa Real, will participate in Funchal on September 17th in a meeting dedicated to climate governance in island territories.

The initiative, titled ‘From Local Action to Global Impact: Climate Governance in Island Territories’, will take place between 10 AM and 4:30 PM at Colégio dos Jesuítas. Promoted by PAN Madeira and the VALORIZA Research Centre of the University of Portalegre, the event aims to bring together representatives from academia, institutions, political forces, and civil society.

The goal is to discuss the challenges of climate change in islands and how to transform local knowledge and experiences into public policies. Topics such as climate governance, the implementation of public policies, and community mobilization for climate action will be addressed. Inês Sousa Real will be responsible for closing the proceedings.
