The waterfront of Ribeira Brava will be the stage this Sunday, September 6th, for FestiBrava 2026, a folklore festival promising lively entertainment.
The event kicks off with a parade at 5:30 PM, starting from the Casa do Povo headquarters and proceeding along Rua do Visconde to the waterfront. Performances by the participating groups are scheduled to begin about half an hour later, near Forte de São Bento.
Taking part in the festival are the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo da Ribeira Brava, the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo da Candelária (Azores), the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo de Campanário, the Folklore Group of Casa do Povo de Gaula, and the Folklore Group D. Nuno Álvares Pereira from Matosinhos. Approximately 200 participants will join the parade.
