Five new business projects, all based in Funchal, will generate nine jobs with a total investment of 281,000 euros from the Regional Government, through the CRIEE (Business and Employment Creation) program.
The projects cover areas such as catering, IT, electronic security, aesthetics, and pool maintenance. The Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labor, and Youth, Paula Margarido, highlighted the program's importance in supporting the unemployed to turn business ideas into professional alternatives.
The catering project 'Cheiro Verde' plans to create four jobs and receives the largest financial support of 124,000 euros. The remaining projects create one or two jobs each. The CRIEE program has shown a success rate of around 90%.
