The Francisco Franco Secondary School welcomes students with diverse abilities, ensuring that access is based on the area of residence rather than academic grades. António Pires, president of the Executive Council, reaffirmed this stance during the School Day ceremony.
At this event, 550 students, nearly 30% of the school's population, were recognized for academic merit, with awards for averages between 17 and 20. Seven students achieved the maximum score of 20. Approximately 50% of the tests taken received grades between 14 and 20.
The executive council aims to limit the school's population to around 1,800 students to optimize organization and operation, as the school has already exceeded 2,000 students. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, and included recognition for the work of teachers and staff.
