The Dr. Horácio Bento de Gouveia Basic School (2nd and 3rd Cycles) in Funchal will host the third edition of the 'Funchal Education' seminar next Saturday. The event, with around 220 participating teachers, is themed ‘The School We Are Building’ and aims to discuss the challenges and transformations shaping education.
Organized by the National Association of Teachers – Madeira Section, in partnership with the Funchal Municipal Council, the seminar features three speakers focusing on the present and future of education. The invited speakers are José Pacheco, founder of Escola da Ponte; Celina Lajoso, eTwinning ambassador; and Adelino Calado, educational consultant for the Child Support Institute.
The seminar will run from 9 AM to 1:30 PM, lasting six hours. The initiative is validated by the Regional Directorate of Education and is open to teachers from all recruitment groups.
