The Municipality of Funchal is hosting a Food Week from September 21 to 26, an initiative dedicated to promoting healthy, sustainable, and inclusive eating. The event will take place at Largo da Restauração, offering a variety of community-focused activities.
The program includes showcookings with local chefs, educational activities on plants and nutrition, talks on food psychology, and meal planning workshops. A Healthy and Sustainable Market and Health Space will also be available on Avenida Arriaga from Monday to Friday.
The week concludes on Saturday, September 26, with an intergenerational physical activity and picnic at Santa Catarina Park, requiring prior registration. This initiative aligns with the Funchal Municipality's Food Strategy – SEMEAR, aiming for more balanced and sustainable lifestyles.
