Madeira island will have a diverse Sunday on September 13th, combining sports and culture. The highlight is the Funchal SkySpeed, an unprecedented trail running event organized by Clube Aventura da Madeira, which will take athletes to Chão da Lagoa.
Sports activities also include a women's handball match, with CS Madeira hosting Almeida Garrett B, and a football game between Estrela da Calheta and AD Ovarense, part of the Campeonato de Portugal.
Culturally, the Madeira School of Arts marks the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year with a concert by the Wind Orchestra in Funchal's Municipal Garden, followed by the awarding of certificates to 78 students.
