Funchal invests 5 million euros in road surfacing

The Funchal Municipal Council has launched a public tender to invest 5 million euros in repairing dozens of streets across the city.

The Funchal Municipal Council (CMF) has approved an investment of five million euros for surfacing the city's road network. The public tender for this project is currently underway.

According to CMF president Jorge Carvalho, a survey of the road conditions has been completed. The investment will be made through two channels: own resources for immediate repairs and the public tender for repairing dozens of worn-out streets in all parishes.

The schedule for the public tender interventions will be defined after the process concludes, taking into account the school year and other ongoing works. Repairs using the municipality's own resources are already in progress.
