Applications for the 2026/2027 School Books and Materials Support Program, organized by the Municipality of Funchal, will be open from July 6 to October 30, 2026.
The program targets students in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycles of Basic Education who have resided in the municipality for over a year and are enrolled in local educational institutions. Support is provided via an 'Educação Voucher' on the Citizen's Card, usable at participating stores for school supplies and, for students without government aid, also for textbooks.
Voucher values differ. For the 1st cycle, it's €30 for those with regional support and €60 for others. In the 2nd and 3rd cycles, students in the Digital Books program receive €30, while others get between €50 and €100, with lower amounts for those receiving School Social Action (ASE). Applications are exclusively online via cmfonline.funchal.pt, and the voucher is valid until December 31, 2026.
