Work has commenced on the installation of new protections and the replacement of fenders on the north quay of Funchal Port. Technicians from Etermar have surveyed the intervention site.
This project begins one year after the incident involving the Lobo Marinho ferry, which severely damaged the protective structures during an emergency docking on September 21, 2025. The works are starting as Funchal Port prepares to receive cruise ships for the winter season.
