On the occasion of World Water Monitoring Day, the Funchal Municipal Chamber (CMF) announced that the city's drinking water has achieved a 99% quality rating.
This achievement is attributed to the CMF's continuous investments in water network telemetry and monitoring, aimed at reducing losses and optimizing the management of this natural resource. Concurrently, the municipality has been undertaking the renewal of the distribution network.
Thousands of analyses conducted on water intended for human consumption confirm the high quality, encompassing parameters beyond the usual microbiological indicators, including chemical contaminants and new control parameters.
