The municipal intervention aims to complement the work of schools, involving families, institutions, and the community in addressing the needs of children and young people. The Municipal Educational Project includes over a hundred annual initiatives in areas such as citizenship, participation, and entrepreneurship.
Leal also emphasized Funchal's status as a UNICEF Child-Friendly City and a Learning City, reinforcing the participation of young people in community life. The municipality continues to provide support to families and schools through investments in equipment, scholarships, and training.
