The parish of Garachico, located in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, will celebrate the festival of its patron saint, Nossa Senhora do Bom Sucesso, on the upcoming weekend of August 8th and 9th.
Festivities commence on Saturday, the 8th, with a vespers mass at 8 PM. At noon, a firework display will mark the start of the celebrations, followed by a philharmonic band's procession through the area from 1 PM. The band Banda Fixe will perform on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, the 9th, the Eucharist in honor of Nossa Senhora do Bom Sucesso will begin at 4 PM, followed by a procession. The parish will also welcome a new parish priest, Father Pascoal Gouveia, succeeding Father Rui Daniel Silva.
