The Governing Council approved the reprogramming of financial commitments associated with the rehabilitation and reconstruction project of the Porto da Cruz Cemetery.
The maximum regional financial contribution for the project remains at 3.14 million euros. This amendment to the program contract, signed in June 2023 between the Region and the Municipality of Machico, aims to redistribute annual budgetary burdens.
Other decisions by the Governing Council included updating financial contributions for the social sector, entering into a program contract with SANASMADEIRA for the operation of RESCO in 2026, acquiring land for works in Santo António, and selling a rustic property in the same parish. Definitive awards and public commendations for athletes and sports associations were also announced.
