The Mayor of Ribeira Brava, Jorge Santos, held a meeting with Venezuela's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Francisco Garcês, during his visit to the country.
The meeting was also attended by the Madeiran diaspora advisor Aleixo Vieira and businessman Óscar Gonçalves. During the encounter, the mayor extended institutional greetings to the Venezuelan minister, who has family ties to Madeira, specifically Ribeira Brava.
Jorge Santos highlighted the potential of local companies in technology and construction for future cooperation and invited the minister to the Council's Day celebrations in May. The meeting concluded with a gift of Madeira wine and a jersey from Clube Desportivo da Ribeira Brava.
