The parish of São Roque do Faial celebrated its 178th anniversary with the presence of the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, Paula Margarido, representing the President of the Regional Government.
Margarido highlighted ongoing investments in the parish, including enhanced healthcare, social support, improvements to school and sports infrastructure, and employment programs. She also announced the launch of the rehabilitation procedure for the ER217 road this year and guaranteed the completion of the Madeira Cider House, a vital project for promoting cider and apple production in the north of the island, during the current term.
The ceremony also featured tributes to local personalities and awards for students with academic merit.
