The socialists believe the recent developments in the case have a political and institutional dimension that "cannot fail to be scrutinized."
In a statement, the party argues that "the citizens of Santa Cruz deserve to be informed" and that "the current council has a duty to clarify matters for the citizens," following news of an investigation into public human resources tenders within the municipality. The PS questions the measures taken to protect the institution, guarantees against similar future occurrences, and political accountability within the Human Resources department.
