The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts periods of heavy cloudiness and generally weak showers for Madeira island this Monday.
These showers are expected to be more frequent on the northern slopes and in the island's highlands. The wind will blow from the north/northeast, light to moderate, with speeds up to 30 km/h.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius on Madeira island and between 22 and 26 degrees on Porto Santo island. In Funchal, skies are expected to be very cloudy with light winds, below 15 km/h.
Regarding the sea, the north coast will experience northeast waves of 1.5 to 2 meters, while the south coast will see waves from the south quadrant around 1 meter. The sea water temperature will be between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius.
