The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the island of Madeira under a yellow warning due to persistent hot weather.
The warning will be in effect until 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 23rd. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain high during this period.
It is recommended that the public take appropriate precautions to avoid the effects of the heat, such as dehydration and sunstroke.
