This Sunday, Madeira will be characterized by periods of very cloudy skies and the occurrence of showers, which will generally be light. The forecast from the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) indicates that these phenomena will be more frequent on the northern slopes and in the higher areas of the island.
Wind is expected to blow from the north/northeast, with light to moderate intensity, ranging between 10 and 30 km/h. However, in the highlands and at the eastern and western extremities of the island, the wind could occasionally be strong, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.
In Funchal, the weather scenario will be different, with the sky generally being partly cloudy.
