Teams from the Institute for Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) are carrying out cleaning and maintenance work on the network of hiking trails in the Rabaçal area, including near PR6 - Levada das 25 Fontes.
According to the IFCN, the high demand for this natural area requires constant monitoring and regular interventions, both along the trails and in the surrounding areas and less visible spots.
The aim is to keep the space tidy, reduce litter, and preserve the environmental and landscape quality of Rabaçal, one of Madeira's most visited natural sites. The Institute urges visitors not to leave waste in nature.
