The IMOM – Madeira Immersive Museum was inaugurated this afternoon in the former João Jardim Cinema building in Funchal. The President of the Regional Government highlighted the new space as a reinforcement of the Region's cultural and tourist offer.
"This investment is another bet on cultural offering and diversification (...) and it is fundamental that Madeira continues to offer diversified and quality services and products for visitors and also for the population," he stressed.
The Mayor of Funchal, also present at the ceremony, emphasized the symbolism of the former cinema's recovery, stating that "the city is grateful to those who believed and maintain the city as a space of innovation and creation."
