Several residents reported an intense and unpleasant sewage smell this morning in the Continente area of São Martinho, Funchal.
Contacted by DIÁRIO, the Funchal Municipal Chamber stated that inspections were carried out on domestic and rainwater wastewater networks, assuring they are "functioning normally".
The municipality will conduct periodic inspections in the area to detect any recurring issues at different times.
