The ultraconservative Iranian newspaper Hamshahri, which is close to the regime, has released a "revenge list" that includes U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Other Western leaders and high-ranking American officials are also on the list, which suggests they should "pay" for the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Images associated with the publication depict political figures, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, dressed as prisoners.
Names mentioned also include French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Trump and Netanyahu are depicted with targets on their foreheads.
The rhetoric of "revenge" against Western countries, particularly the United States and Israel, is not new in the context of Ali Khamenei's death. However, there is no official indication that this publication has been approved by Iranian authorities.
