Jaime Moniz school launches charity drive supporting Make-A-Wish

Throughout November and December, the school community is invited to help grant wishes for children and young people with serious illnesses.

Jaime Moniz Secondary School will run the fifth edition of its charity initiative supporting Make-A-Wish during November and December 2026, under the motto "Together, we can help make wishes come true."

The campaign aims to raise awareness among students, teachers, staff and families of the importance of contributing to wishes for children and young people with serious illnesses. Promotion and mobilisation actions will take place over the two months, and ways to take part will be announced at the school.

The initiative is coordinated by teachers Carla Rodrigues and Teresa de Almeida, of the school's extracurricular activities coordination, and is also meant to reinforce values of empathy, mutual support and citizenship.
