Jardim da Serra Projected as Madeira's New Tourist Hub

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, marked the completion of another project in Jardim da Serra, stating the parish has the potential to become a new tourist hub on Madeira. He emphasized investments in infrastructure, such as the Via Rápida connection between Câmara de Lobos and Jardim da Serra, and in affordable housing.

Albuquerque also pointed to tourism development as a future focus, predicting Jardim da Serra will become a major center once the cable car to Curral das Freiras is completed. The future link is expected to boost tourist numbers, creating new opportunities for the parish.

Furthermore, an agreement was reached with the Câmara Municipal de Câmara de Lobos for the construction of a park and other facilities to enhance Jardim da Serra's tourist appeal.
