The Porto Santo Municipal Council has requested the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) to arrange extraordinary flights between Madeira and Porto Santo.
The request aims to guarantee the regular connection between the two islands during the scheduled maintenance period of the Lobo Marinho ferry, which provides regular passenger and cargo transport.
The interruption of the maritime service could cause significant difficulties for residents and for the flow of tourism, so the council seeks to mitigate these effects by strengthening air transport.
