The Quinta Falcão neighborhood in Santo António is set to receive a new leisure and visitation space with a connection to Cristiano Ronaldo's history. The project, presented by the Parish Council president, Marcelo Gouveia, aims to utilize a currently unused area that already attracts tourists due to its link to the Madeiran footballer.
The intervention is planned across three levels offering a privileged view over Funchal, where former dwellings once stood. The site is frequently visited by tourists in sightseeing vehicles, tuk-tuks, and taxis, seeking to explore the area where Cristiano Ronaldo lived. The Parish Council intends to restore the levels and create a space for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
The connection to Cristiano Ronaldo will be evident in the future space, with the idea having been discussed and receiving favorable feedback from the player's family. One of the walls of the house where the Madeiran star lived is expected to be preserved. The proposal, still in its preliminary stages, will be submitted to the Funchal City Council for approval.
