The cruise ship 'Ventura' marked the beginning of the 2026-2027 season at the Port of Funchal, arriving with 4,256 people on board.
The vessel, which stayed for 11 hours in the Madeiran capital, carried 3,076 passengers and 1,170 crew members. The ship is on a 14-night journey with departure and return to Southampton, England, with Funchal being its first stop.
After its visit to Madeira, the 'Ventura' will proceed to the Canary Islands, visiting La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote, before heading to Cadiz and Lisbon, with a scheduled return to Southampton on September 26. Other ships such as the 'Disney Dream', 'Celebrity Xcel', and 'Apex' are also expected this month.
