The Popular Youth (JP) of Madeira has advocated for the valorization of non-formal education in youth policies, arguing that the development of new generations should go beyond academic learning and job market preparation.
This stance was presented during a coasteering activity, an initiative designed to demonstrate the value of outdoor experiences in fostering teamwork, autonomy, responsibility, and environmental awareness.
The youth wing of CDS-PP believes that Madeira's natural heritage, including the sea and mountains, should be utilized as educational tools. The organization also calls for greater coordination between schools, municipalities, clubs, and associations to promote activities in sports, volunteering, and citizenship.
