The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries has issued a clarification in response to recent statements by the Socialist Party regarding support under the Common Agricultural Policies (CAP).
The Secretariat accuses the PS of distorting the truth for political convenience and reiterates that technical support for project and application preparation are eligible expenses, potentially funded up to 80% for investments in small agricultural holdings.
It is emphasized that all applications are submitted via a digital platform validated by the citizen card, preventing government technicians from accessing individual registration data, in line with data protection principles. The CAP management authority conducted 11 outreach sessions on the topic across Madeira and Porto Santo, and provides telephone and email contacts for further clarification.
