Maria José Gonçalves, representing the JPP, argued during the solemn session for Ponta do Sol's Municipal Day that the municipality's development must balance modernity with the preservation of local identity and traditions.
Gonçalves stressed that a municipality is made by its people and that, before any new project, it is crucial not to forget the basic needs affecting residents' daily lives, such as road and path maintenance.
The JPP representative called for the preservation of Ponta do Sol's customs and way of life, asserting that the future should be embraced without forgetting roots, strengthening the county through its traditional values and community unity.
