JPP Demands Grandstands for Porto da Cruz Football Field in Legislative Assembly

The JPP party advocated in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira for the construction of grandstands at the Porto da Cruz Football Field, through a resolution project presented by MP Jéssica Teles. The parliamentarian recalled that the work was the winning proposal of Madeira's 2022 Participatory Budget, but it has not yet been implemented.

Teles criticized the lack of facilities for fans, stating that "more than four years later everything remains exactly the same," despite the project being chosen by the population. The deputy emphasized that the field represents a public investment of several million euros but continues to offer inadequate conditions for spectators, who are left "exposed to the sun, rain, and wind."

During the debate, MPs from the PSD and Liberal Initiative expressed reservations, with the PSD considering other priorities and the Liberal Initiative advocating for greater rationality in public resource allocation. The PS used the opportunity to recall other unfulfilled promises.
