The President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, was received by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro at the official residence of São Bento in Lisbon. The meeting aimed to foster dialogue on various pending dossiers between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Government of the Republic.

The encounter followed Miguel Albuquerque's statement that Madeira maintains "open doors" for dialogue with the Republic's Government. This meeting reinforces the Regional Government leader's stance on maintaining an "open and direct" line of communication with Luís Montenegro to address matters of interest to the Region.

According to the Madeiran executive, the objective was to promote a "fruitful and consistent dialogue" on the different dossiers involving the two administrations. Albuquerque assured that relations with Lisbon are normalized.
