The Socialist Party's Parliamentary Group has submitted a protest vote to the Legislative Assembly of Madeira against the Regional Government for failing to meet commitments made to Childcare Technicians.
The party believes this situation, which has dragged on for years, penalizes professionals essential to childcare and early education and is the cause of the strike scheduled for July 20 and 21.
Socialist deputy Isabel Garcês highlighted injustices such as the disregard for service time and the blocking of career progression. The PS also advocates for the removal of a clause assigning cleaning tasks to these professionals, diverting them from their educational duties, and calls for increased human resources in schools.
