Machico will host another edition of the Machico Classic Car Fest next Sunday, August 30th. Organized by the Domingo Clássico Madeira group with support from the Machico Parish Council, this event marks its 9th consecutive year.
The exhibition, dedicated to classic and pre-classic vehicles manufactured up to 1993, will run from 11 am to 5 pm, with 170 registered vehicles participating. The oldest vehicle on display is a 1932 Chevrolet Phantom. Toyota leads in brand representation with 22 vehicles, followed by Mini with 19, and Datsun and Volkswagen, each with 15.
The event coincides with the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, also held in Machico. Organizers encourage the public to take advantage of the weekend to visit both the classic car exhibition and the local festival.
