The Machico Health Centre is undergoing energy requalification works, with an investment of 2,255,780 euros, as announced by the Regional Government Presidency Office.
The intervention aims to improve the building's energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and environmental footprint, and enhance thermal and acoustic comfort for users and professionals.
Planned works include replacing the lighting system, installing a photovoltaic system for self-consumption, solar thermal systems, and heat pumps, as well as replacing exterior window frames with thermal break glazing, improving the air conditioning system, and insulating the roofs. The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, will visit the health unit.
