PSD councilors in the Machico Municipal Chamber recently presented a set of proposals and alerts focused on areas such as the environment, local accommodation, the Gastronomic Week, and public space requalification.
Among their main concerns, the party advocated for the municipal executive to request an awareness campaign from the Regional Directorate of Environment for workshops in the municipality to prevent environmental risks. Regarding the Gastronomic Week, while acknowledging its positive outcome, the PSD believes the event should remain on the last weekend of July and questions the investment made versus the benefit to the municipality.
The PSD also insisted that the new local accommodation regulation should not hinder investments, submitting a document with contributions for public discussion. Finally, they achieved unanimous approval for a proposal to requalify Rua Dr. º Cónego Fulgêncio Andrade in Água de Pena parish, aiming to enhance road safety and public space quality.
