The median bank valuation for housing in Madeira reached €2,625 per square meter in August, marking a 1.0% monthly increase and a 14.9% year-on-year rise.

The median bank valuation for housing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) saw a further increase in August 2026, reaching €2,625 per square meter. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), regionalized by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira, this figure represents a monthly increase of 1.0% and a year-on-year rise of 14.9%.

Specifically, the value per square meter rose by €27 compared to July and €340 compared to August 2025. Apartments recorded a median valuation of €2,911/m², with monthly increases of 0.6% and year-on-year growth of 16.4%. Houses presented a value of €2,331/m², showing a monthly increase of 6.6% and a year-on-year rise of 23.1%.

In Funchal, the median valuation stood at €2,911/m² (+2.8% monthly, +13.3% year-on-year), in Santa Cruz at €2,607/m² (+2.7% monthly, +17.8% year-on-year), and in Câmara de Lobos at €2,349/m² (-2.2% monthly, +6.3% year-on-year). Madeira remained above the national average (€2,254/m²) and ranked fourth highest among regions, behind Greater Lisbon, Algarve, and Setúbal Peninsula.

However, the number of bank valuations conducted in Madeira decreased by 5.5% in August compared to July, totaling 665 valuations. Compared to August 2025, the number of valuations increased by 7.3%.
